The Challenge
After acquiring a leading financial institution, the Client set up integration workstreams to build target operating models and plans, aligning more closely with the acquiring institution’s organizational structure, which did not directly match the acquired entity. RGP deployed experienced program management leads to manage the complexity of these workstreams, including the Products and Services workstream, overseeing the progression from deal announcement to post-close. RGP also managed interim and target operating models for sub-workstreams such as Capital Markets, Product & Advisor Platforms, Funds & Insured Solutions, Advisory, and Research.

What We Did
RGP deployed an experienced program manager with extensive industry knowledge in capital markets and brokerage platforms to lead planning and deliverables for deal close, employee day 1, and beyond. The manager facilitated top-down dialogues across business stakeholders, project managers, integration leadership, and shared services teams to align on interim and target states for products and services, addressing organizational differences and cross-workstream dependencies. RGP led regular program cadences, including daily stand-ups and engagement with business leads, while facilitating information sharing to streamline planning. Additionally, RGP led key initiatives, such as product coordination for Capital Markets and compliance tracking for Futures product integration.

Our Impact
The workstream delivered all key deliverables before deal close, then transitioned to implementation planning, building trust across teams for effective integration.
