01.

The Challenge

Following a bank merger, the acquired entity’s applications and systems were assessed for compliance with firm policies, revealing numerous policy violations that were tracked as individual issues with remediation action plans. To streamline this process, recurring violations were grouped as “thematic risk” issues, with central owners responsible for developing and executing solutions across impacted applications. The Client needed to govern the intake, monitoring, and resolution of these risks, as well as visualize their impact across divisions. RGP was engaged to establish and manage a remediation program, ensuring effective project management and timely delivery in line with firm standards.

02.

What We Did

RGP deployed a team of strategic consultants and program managers to establish a remediation program for thematic risks across both Wealth Management (WM) Technology and corporate technology divisions. Key activities included creating a standardized Thematic Risk intake and reporting process, enabling stakeholders to understand the scope and impact of remediation work. RGP partnered with WM leadership to initiate formal remediation programs, covering solution development, scope assessment, roadmap creation, milestone tracking, and governance implementation. RGP served in strategic roles, managing project delivery, providing regular status updates, and ensuring timely remediation through effective stakeholder coordination and escalation of risks and issues.
