The Challenge

Following the implementation of an Operational Analytics Platform, the Client engaged RGP to assist in transferring platform data to a newly created data lake. The goal was to develop a comprehensive target state application architecture, strategy for functional capabilities, and detailed data architecture models. RGP established both current and target state application architectures, leveraging a cloud-based data warehouse. The team created logical data models for multiple applications and developed a comprehensive data catalog that includes metadata on data assets, usage, location, and data lineage, as well as details of data feeds entering and exiting the platform.

02.

What We Did

RGP guided the Client through the vendor selection process for its data warehouse, covering cloud provider analysis, data migration strategy, architecture design, data security, scalability, cost optimization, and integration with the broader data ecosystem. Following the decision to migrate enterprise data to a cloud-based data warehouse, RGP deployed a specialized team to design the future state application architecture, create physical data models, and manage the application transition to the cloud. They also developed logical data models, a comprehensive data catalog, and conducted a detailed analysis of data feeds for a smooth migration process.

Our Impact

RGP’s optimized systems and data architecture facilitated a smooth cloud migration, enhancing scalability, flexibility, and data efficiency across the Client’s organization.
