The Challenge

The Client faced challenges closing a longstanding audit finding related to insufficient project management risk oversight across its global portfolio. RGP helped design and implement a reporting and analytics platform featuring 170+ key risk indicators (KRIs), enabling proactive identification of project execution risks across 15k projects. This platform revealed previously unknown insights in areas like resource allocation, dependency management, and data integrity. These insights led to the Client issuing a statement to impacted projects, allowing for the quick mitigation of future risks.

What We Did

RGP deployed a team of experts in project management, risk, and analytics to develop a reporting platform with 170+ key risk indicators to proactively identify and mitigate project execution risks. The team conducted a data discovery exercise, analyzing project management tracking, HR, and system inventory data to create a flexible data model and dictionary, ingesting over 1.2 million records for the platform. They documented the data extraction, transformation, and load processes, conducted training sessions for the client’s risk team, and developed curated reports and predictive analytics to provide additional insights into project and program management.

Our Impact

RGP’s platform identified 2,900+ impacted work efforts, highlighted risks in project dependencies, and analyzed high-risk schedule path issues, enabling timely mitigation.
