The Challenge

RGP conducted a gap analysis of the Client’s monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to enhance visibility into service and technology component health. The team assessed the existing tools and provided a rationalized inventory along with industry best practices for modernizing monitoring and reporting capabilities. RGP delivered a comprehensive report outlining the toolset inventory, assessment findings, impact analysis, and actionable recommendations. Following the report, RGP supported the implementation of the recommended improvements to optimize the organization’s monitoring and reporting capabilities.

What We Did

RGP deployed a team of subject matter experts to assess the organization’s monitoring, logging, and alerting toolset, creating a comprehensive inventory and identifying process gaps. The team facilitated workshops with application owners and production support stakeholders to pinpoint pain points and areas for improvement, focusing on tool configurations and their integration into incident, problem, and change management systems. Leveraging these findings, RGP provided recommendations, use cases, and best practices to enhance the organization’s proactive service management approach through improved monitoring and toolset configurations.
