01.

The Challenge

A client’s Chief Operating Officer sought to improve application delivery velocity and better align business and technology priorities. RGP conducted a strategic assessment of the end-to-end application development chain, focusing on 12 dimensions such as strategy, governance, architecture, and project management.

Following a recent shift from waterfall to Agile development, the client experienced breakdowns in release planning, cross-team prioritization, and dependency management. Newly appointed executives aimed to identify opportunities for improving IT delivery and prioritizing future investments to enhance overall application development effectiveness.

02.

What We Did

RGP deployed a team of seasoned consultants, including former executives from Credit Suisse and Citi, to advise the Client on best practices and conduct a high-level assessment of the current application delivery and management process.

Using RGP’s Strategic Capability Assessment Framework, the team conducted stakeholder interviews to understand existing processes, systems, and applications, identifying key areas for improvement. The team then developed a detailed roadmap and project plan to guide the implementation of the proposed recommendations for enhancing the application delivery process.

03.

Our Impact

RGP’s assessment produced 23 work packages with 107 recommendations, an implementation roadmap, and resource estimates, enabling the Client to prioritize investments and improve SDLC delivery.
