Kate W. Duchene is a C-Suite executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience, helping establish RGP as a global leader in the transformation and change initiatives that are rapidly unfolding across all industries and business enterprises.

Kate currently serves as RGP’s President and Chief Executive Officer, as well as an RGP Board of Directors member since 2018. Previously, Kate held various executive roles within RGP, including Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President of Human Resources. Kate is passionate about people and problem-solving. With global disruptions and persistent talent shortages pushing organizations to make a whirlwind of operational change, Kate is determined to ensure that RGP is well positioned to help clients and consultants thrive.

During her tenure as RGP’s Chief Executive Officer, RGP has been honored with numerous awards, most recently being recognized by Forbes in the publication 2022 World’s Best Management Consulting Firms, 2022 America’s Best Management Consulting Firms, and 2022 America’s Best Midsize Employers, lists. RGP is regularly featured in Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA)’s ranking of the largest staffing firms in the United States.

Kate has been recognized by SIA in the annual Staffing 100 North America and Global Power 150—Women in Staffing lists multiple times, most recently in 2022. She is also a past recipient of the Orange County Business Journal’s Outstanding Women in Business and General Counsel Awards and has been recognized on the publication’s OC 500 list.

Before RGP, Kate practiced labor and employment law for the top international law firm O’Melveny & Myers LLP for nearly 10 years. Kate has a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.

Her extensive board work includes public company and non-profit experience. On the philanthropic front, she has served on the boards of Human Options, which is dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence; the California Minority Counsel Program; Orange County Community Foundation; and the University of California Irvine Foundation. In addition, she previously served on the board of Collectors Universe Inc., helping take the company private.
