About This Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Surgery Center Administrator to lead the overall operations, strategic growth, financial performance, and clinical excellence of a growing ambulatory healthcare organization. This executive leadership role will oversee business operations, physician partnerships, quality initiatives, regulatory compliance, and long-term growth strategies while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of healthcare operations leadership, financial acumen, physician relationship management, and organizational development experience. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes and operational performance.

Work Location: 5 days onsite Orange, CA 92868 with regular interaction across clinical, operational, and physician stakeholder groups in the surrounding area

Pay Rate Range: $220K-$250K

What You Will Work On

  • Lead the overall strategic, operational, financial, and clinical performance of a healthcare services organization.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term growth strategies focused on operational excellence, service expansion, physician engagement, and market development.
  • Maintain full accountability for budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, revenue growth, profitability, and key operational performance metrics.
  • Partner with physicians, executive leadership, and key stakeholders to drive business performance, strengthen partnerships, and support organizational growth initiatives.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, resource utilization, workforce productivity, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead quality, patient safety, compliance, risk management, and accreditation readiness programs to ensure regulatory excellence.
  • Champion process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, stakeholder satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing leaders across clinical, operational, and administrative functions.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and strategic recommendations to governance bodies and senior stakeholders.
  • Serve as the organization's ambassador within the healthcare community, developing relationships that support ongoing growth and market presence.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Nursing, or a related field required; Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience with increasing operational and financial responsibility.
  • 3+ years of executive-level leadership experience with direct responsibility for organizational performance and P&L management.
  • Demonstrated success leading healthcare operations, outpatient services, ambulatory care facilities, physician organizations, or similar healthcare environments.
  • Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, operational performance management, and strategic planning.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong physician, executive, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience driving growth initiatives, business development efforts, service line expansion, and organizational transformation.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, compliance programs, and quality initiatives.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and change management.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, Medicare Conditions for Coverage, HIPAA, OSHA, and healthcare compliance programs.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions and operational improvements.
  • Executive presence with a collaborative, strategic, and results-oriented leadership style.
