About This Role

We are seeking a hands-on, solutions-oriented General Ledger (GL) Accounting Manager to provide structure and consistency during a period of significant growth and change. This role will lead the GL team, streamline the close process, strengthen reconciliations, and maximize NetSuite capabilities to improve accounting operations.
This is an opportunity to bring stability and efficiency to a dynamic organization operating at IPO-level speed while maintaining empathy and adaptability through transition.

Work Location: 3 days on-site near Downtown Los Angeles, CA, 2 days remote.

Duration: 4-month contract with potential to extend or convert to full-time.

Pay Rate Range: $80/hr-$90/hr

What You Will Work On

  • Own and oversee the monthly GL close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and mentor the GL team; provide leadership through change and growth phases.
  • Drive enhancements to reconciliation processes and manage close calendar consolidation.
  • Optimize NetSuite functionality to support process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain and enforce accounting policies and internal controls in a public-company environment.

What You Will Bring

  • 7+ years’ accounting experience with strong GL close and reconciliation background.
  • Prior leadership/management experience, REQUIRED.
  • Industry experience in retail, consumer products, or related brick & mortar environments highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite is strongly desired.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with an IPO/public company mindset.
  • Empathetic leader who can create stability during periods of rapid change.
