Medical Provider Management Specialist (Major Medical Expenses)

About This Role

We are seeking a GMM Medical Provider Management Specialist with deep technical expertise, strong financial acumen, and operational command of Major Medical Expense (Gastos Médicos Mayores) insurance.

  • Location: Mexico City (Onsite – South of the city, Torre Manacar)
  • Contract Term: 18-Month Contract
  • Compensation: $30,000 – $40,000 MXN / month (Commensurate with experience)

What You Will Work On

In this role, you will play a key part in managing, strengthening, and optimizing our network of hospitals, doctors, diagnostic centers, and specialized medical service providers. You will drive medical cost containment, ensure high operational quality, negotiate competitive commercial terms, and collaborate closely with Claims, Legal, and Product teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lifecycle Network Management: Oversee the end-to-end provider lifecycle—prospecting, onboarding, credentialing, contract renewals, modifications, and terminations.
  • Commercial Negotiation: Partner with hospitals, physicians, oncology centers, and ancillary services to negotiate competitive rate schedules, package deals, discounts, and payment terms.
  • Financial & Technical Analysis: Perform cost variance analyses, rate benchmarking, and medical expense reviews across specialties, regions, and service types to support cost containment.
  • Operations & Claims Support: Act as the strategic liaison between Provider Management, Claims, Direct Payment, and Treasury to resolve billing, authorization, and payment friction.
  • Compliance & Data Governance: Ensure all provider files contain validated legal, tax, banking, and professional credentials, maintaining strict audit-ready traceability.
  • Performance Tracking & AI Optimization: Monitor key performance indicators (SLA compliance, average cost, claims frequency, utilization) and utilize data-driven insights to optimize network strategy.

What You Will Bring

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Languages
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Health/Hospital Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Professional English proficiency is required.
  • Certifications in healthcare administration, insurance, negotiation, or financial analysis are a plus.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in medical provider management, medical network operations, GMM claims, direct payment, or hospital agreement administration.
  • Demonstrated track record in commercial negotiation, rate structure analysis, and contract administration within the private healthcare or insurance sectors.
  • Experience with claims experience analysis, preferred networks, and medical cost containment strategies.
