The Challenge
After the firm’s acquisition by a leading financial institution, the Client sought expertise in managing intercompany application access and provisioning for Legal Day 1 and beyond. While granting access to applications between the acquiring and acquired firms is necessary for Legal Day 1, network and infrastructure integration would not begin until after this date. Interim, often manual, processes were required to enable access and entitlements. Access management had to be carefully coordinated to ensure seamless integration between the tech environments while mitigating risks across both systems.

What We Did
RGP deployed a team of technology integration experts and business analysts to document the target application architecture and develop an integration plan. After defining the architecture, the team gathered business requirements, built onboarding, termination, and employee movement flows, and established a task force for internal communications, training, and ongoing maintenance. Following the implementation of the interim state, RGP provided ongoing management to ensure proper governance and kept both firms within accepted risk levels. RGP then drove the transition to the target state, incorporating process improvement efforts along the way.
