The Challenge
Following a bank merger, the acquired client’s technology division faced compliance challenges as many applications ran on unsupported operating systems, conflicting with the acquiring firm’s zero-tolerance policy. The complexity of remediation efforts grew due to resource constraints, competing integration priorities, and mounting pressure from the Federal Reserve and Risk Committees. RGP was engaged to define, establish, and manage a remediation program for the WM technology division, ensuring effective project execution and compliance with firm policies and timelines.
02.
What We Did
RGP deployed a team of strategic consultants and technology program managers to establish a remediation program across the wealth management organization. Initial efforts focused on scoping risks, assessing firm-wide impact, prioritizing remediation tasks, and defining key milestones to meet risk committee obligations. With leadership support, RGP implemented governance structures, including regular progress updates and reports to ensure transparency and issue escalation. Additionally, RGP provided strategic project management, consolidating inputs from various teams into a centralized tracker to monitor progress, target burndown rates, and address capacity constraints for efficient execution.
