Payroll Operations Specialist (North America)

About This Role

The Payroll Operations Specialist is responsible for managing payroll-related requests and employee inquiries submitted through Salesforce for operations across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. This role supports payroll corrections, case management, and payroll operations while ensuring compliance with country-specific payroll regulations. The specialist will also contribute to process improvements and maintain standard operating procedures to enhance team efficiency and service quality.

What You Will Work On

Key Activities

  • Manage and resolve payroll requests, inquiries, and correction cases submitted through Salesforce.
  • Support payroll operations by investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to employee payroll inquiries.
  • Escalate complex payroll issues when appropriate and collaborate with internal payroll teams to drive resolution.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
  • Support periods of increased payroll workload and help reduce overall payroll case volume.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase operational efficiency and enhance employee experience.
  • Work with payroll systems including ADP GlobalView (U.S.), ADP (Canada), and TRESS (Mexico).

What You Will Bring

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll operations, payroll support, or payroll administration.
  • Experience managing payroll inquiries, payroll corrections, and employee support cases.
  • Knowledge of payroll compliance and payroll regulations in at least one of the following countries: United States, Mexico, or Canada.
  • Experience working with case management or ticketing systems; Salesforce experience is strongly preferred.
  • Professional English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting payroll operations across multiple countries within North America.
  • Knowledge of ADP GlobalView, ADP Canada, and/or TRESS payroll systems.
  • Experience documenting and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Process improvement or continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience working in a shared services or global payroll environment.
