About This Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to support a client's IT organization in the technology sector by providing structure, governance, project tracking, and executive-level reporting across a portfolio of initiatives during a period of rapid organizational transition and growth. The consultant will organize project activities, capture and track action items, monitor progress, and help drive accountability across teams. The environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, requiring someone who can quickly establish processes and bring organization to multiple concurrent initiatives.
Worksite location: Remote, preference for CST/MST overlap as most meetings occur during these time zones.
Rate: $80-$85/hr. DOE
Duration: potentially up to a year
What You Will Work On
- Attend project and stakeholder meetings, identify IT-owned action items, and drive follow-through to completion.
- Coordinate activities across multiple cross-functional teams and track IT-owned deliverables and responsibilities.
- Provide organizational structure and project governance for teams managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Consolidate project status updates and develop executive-level reporting, presentations, and summaries for leadership.
- Utilize Jira for project tracking while helping stakeholders maintain visibility into higher-level program progress and dependencies.
- Partner with stakeholders and the PMO to improve intake, prioritization, and governance processes associated with new technology and software requests.
What You Will Bring
Required:
- Strong project management experience in cross-functional environments, coordinating complex initiatives within enterprise IT organizations.
- Ability to operate effectively in high-ambiguity, fast-moving settings.
- Excellent meeting facilitation, action-item capture, and follow-through skills.
- Comfort producing high-level status views / executive-friendly summaries from detailed work.
- Collaborative style that works well with technical managers and existing contractors.
Strongly Preferred
- Familiarity with corporate IT systems and processes (OKTA or identity access management, Salesforce a plus).
- Experience supporting IT organizations during growth, migration, or transitions.
- Experience with Jira or similar project tracking tools
