About This Role
RGP is looking for an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to join a global tax organization in Guatemala City. This opportunity is ideal for a tax professional with strong LATAM indirect tax and VAT expertise who enjoys combining technical tax knowledge with business partnership and technology.
The role will provide exposure to complex taxability matters, tax rules and calculations, tax technology, and cross-functional initiatives, working closely with key stakeholders across the organization.
This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week onsite in Guatemala City.
What You Will Work On
- Manage and review indirect tax and VAT requirements across LATAM, including local tax rules, taxability determinations, and tax calculations.
- Interpret local indirect tax legislation and ensure tax rules and calculations are accurately applied to business transactions.
- Partner with Finance, Tax, Technology, and business stakeholders to support indirect tax processes and compliance requirements.
- Review and maintain tax rules and calculations while identifying opportunities to strengthen tax processes and controls.
- Support sales tax and indirect tax engines, including tax rule configuration, system integrations, and ongoing system management.
- Advanced English required.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor´s degree in Accounting
- 5 - 7 years of experience in indirect tax, preferably within retail, consumer goods, e-commerce, or another large multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of VAT and indirect tax regulations across LATAM.
- Experience reviewing taxability, tax rules, and tax calculations.
- Strong business-partnering skills and the ability to work effectively with both local and global stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with tax technology and ERP environments.
- Experience with SAP, Vertex, and/or ONESOURCE is highly desirable.
- Experience with sales tax engine integration, rule creation, configuration, and system management is highly valued.
