Corporate Income Tax Compliance Consultant (5 days onsite- Dallas)

About This Role

As a Tax Professional, you will assist our Clients with their U.S. Federal, State, and Local income tax compliance requirements for the tax year. In this role, you will lead and drive necessary change and improvement on a global scale. You will work collaboratively to identify and implement solutions, accelerate change including processes, data, and systems, provide clear guidance, direction, advice, and metrics, and manage risk and controversy. You will utilize your previous corporate income tax experience and/or public accounting experience to help Clients ensure project success.


What you will work on

  • Prepare corporate local, state and federal income tax returns
  • Prepare book to tax adjustments
  • Prepare and review tax packages information questionnaires submitted to the business controllers
  • Provide overall support to the tax department during compliance season
  • Ensure Local, State or Federal Compliance, perform necessary research, calculations, and estimated payments.
  • Identify, lead, and drive data and technology improvements, process improvements and best practices

What you will bring

Experience

  • ​10+ years of progressive and relevant tax experience including preparing and/or reviewing corporate income tax returns.
  • US Federal Income Tax and/or State and Local Tax background
  • Able to creatively research, analyze, and conclude specifically assigned US tax issues with minimal supervision
  • Able to work closely with groups within a corporate structure including finance, legal, operations, etc.

Education

  • ​Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Master's in Accounting, Finance or Taxation is preferred
  • CPA preferred, but not required

  • Federal Tax: Advanced
  • State/Local Tax: Advanced

Systems

  • ​Significant tax engine experience with CorpTax or OneSource is preferred. Ability to manage large volumes of data. Strong Excel skills.
