About This Role
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support finance data governance, user access management, and operational process improvement initiatives within a large-scale enterprise environment. This role will focus on administering and maintaining role-based data access, supporting data stewardship activities, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure secure, efficient, and compliant access to financial and operational data.
The ideal candidate combines business systems analysis, finance or FP&A knowledge, and user access management/data governance experience. This individual will work cross-functionally with business, finance, and technology teams to manage access requests, document processes, support system configurations, and contribute to ongoing data quality and governance initiatives.
Rate: $75-$85/hr. depending on experience
Worksite location: remote CST time zone, but may require travel to Austin for training
What You Will Work On
- Manage and process user access requests across enterprise data platforms and reporting environments.
- Configure and maintain role-based access controls, security groups, and user permissions.
- Support data governance initiatives by helping enforce access policies, approval workflows, and control procedures.
- Analyze access-related issues and troubleshoot data visibility or permission concerns.
- Partner with business/finance stakeholders to gather requirements and implement access-related enhancements.
- Review and update technical and operational documentation, process flows, and governance procedures.
- Assist with data reconciliation, validation, and reporting activities utilizing SQL and other analytical tools.
- Support audit readiness efforts by maintaining proper documentation, approvals, and access controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and scalability of access management processes.
- Participate in process improvement and system optimization initiatives within finance and enterprise data environments.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Experience supporting user access management, data governance, security administration, or related operational processes.
- Understanding of various user access management methods, including role-based access controls (RBAC), security groups, and user provisioning concepts.
- Advanced SQL skills, including data validation and reconciliation techniques.
- Experience working with version control or source-controlled environments.
- Familiarity with finance, accounting, FP&A, or enterprise reporting concepts.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
