About This Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Transformation & Audit Consultant with mandatory banking industry experience to support strategic finance transformation initiatives, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent with a strong background in audit, banking accounting, and financial statement analysis. This individual will be dynamic, proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented, with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Work On
Selected consultant will:
- Participate in accounting and finance transformation projects, supporting the implementation of new regulatory and accounting requirements.
- Perform audits of financial statements, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Analyze financial statements, disclosures, accounting records, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and review financial reports, accounting analyses, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Support the implementation of accounting changes required by CNBV regulations, including defining and validating new accounting parameters.
- Analyze and validate financial information required under CUB33, ensuring completeness and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Participate in the audit of financial statements for banking institutions and SOFOM entities.
- Perform accounting analysis using databases, advanced Excel, Pivot Tables, formulas, and analytical tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and support transformation initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Ensure timely delivery of audit and regulatory reporting activities while maintaining high-quality standards.
What You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting .
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting and audit experience within the banking industry (mandatory).
- Proven experience participating in accounting or finance transformation projects.
- Strong experience auditing financial statements for banking institutions.
- Experience with SOFOM financial statement audits is highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS, banking accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with CNBV regulations and CUB33 reporting requirements.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, accounting analysis, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, formulas, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Dynamic, proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented professional with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple business areas.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
