About This Role
RGP seeks a Senior Manager/Associate Director, Information Technology for a client direct hire to lead and scale our IT organization as we advance our lead cell therapy programs through pivotal and Phase III clinical development and toward commercialization. Reporting directly to the SVP, Head of Operations, this highly visible leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity program, and compliance framework for a publicly traded biotechnology company at a transformational stage of growth.
What You Will Work On
Lead Technology Strategy & Operations
•Serve as the head of the IT function, driving technology strategy, infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and operational excellence.
•Develop and execute an IT roadmap that supports clinical development, manufacturing growth, regulatory compliance, and future commercialization.
•Partner with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
Build and Scale a Modern IT Environment
•Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud, network, server, and end-user computing environments.
•Evaluate and introduce new technologies that enhance productivity, security, and operational performance.
•Establish scalable IT processes and governance that support organizational growth.
Drive Cybersecurity & Compliance
•Lead and continuously enhance the company's cybersecurity program, including identity management, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, incident response, and security awareness initiatives.
•Ensure GxP-regulated systems are validated and maintained in compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity requirements, and industry best practices.
•Support SOX IT controls and collaborates with internal and external auditors.
Manage Critical Business & Scientific Systems
•Oversee the administration and support of key business and scientific applications, including Microsoft 365, ERP platforms, eQMS, and laboratory systems.
•Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Finance, and HR to ensure technology effectively supports business needs.
Lead and Develop the IT Team
•Directly manage and mentor an IT team member while fostering a high-performance, service-oriented culture.
•Oversee the relationship, performance, and deliverables of the company's managed services and consulting partners.
•Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, licensing agreements, and technology investments.
Ensure Business Continuity
•Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to protect critical scientific, clinical, and corporate data.
•Oversee employee onboarding, offboarding, asset management, and technology lifecycle processes.
What You Will Bring
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
•10+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership responsibility for an IT function, department, or team.
•Experience supporting a growing clinical-stage biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organization.
•Hands-on expertise managing cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or Azure), networks, servers, cybersecurity, and end-user technologies.
•Strong knowledge of computer system validation (CSV), GxP environments, 21 CFR Part 11, and data integrity requirements.
•Experience administering enterprise applications such as Microsoft 365, ERP, eQMS, laboratory systems, and related business technologies.
•Experience managing IT budgets, software licensing, vendors, and managed service providers.
•Understanding of SOX IT controls within a publicly traded company environment.

Preferred Qualifications
•Prior experience supporting organizations preparing for commercialization or significant operational scale-up.
•Professional certifications such as CISSP, Security+, ITIL, PMP, or related credentials.
•Experience working within regulated biotechnology, cell therapy, gene therapy, or pharmaceutical environments.
Salary: $220-250K
