About This Role

This role is responsible for leading diagnostic assessments and transformation programs focused on Accounting Architecture, Finance Data Lineage, Accounting Rule Derivation, Financial Controls, Reconciliation Frameworks, and General Ledger modernization. Working directly with Finance executives, Controllers, CIO organizations, and Technology leaders, you will evaluate end-to-end accounting processes, document financial data flows, identify operational and control gaps, and define future-state operating models that improve financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

What You Will Work On

You will lead strategic consulting engagements focused on modernizing Finance organizations and strengthening accounting architecture across enterprise banking environments.

Finance Transformation Leadership
  • Lead enterprise Finance Transformation initiatives from assessment through roadmap definition and execution planning.
  • Manage diagnostic engagements sponsored by CFO, Controllership, and Finance Transformation organizations.
  • Define transformation strategies for Finance Operating Models, Accounting Architecture, and General Ledger modernization.
  • Drive governance, stakeholder alignment, executive reporting, and project delivery across multiple workstreams.
  • Analyze and document end-to-end accounting processes from transaction origination through General Ledger posting.
  • Lead assessments of accounting rule derivation, journal entry generation, accounting engines, and financial event processing.
  • Evaluate Finance Data Lineage across source systems, accounting engines, ERP platforms, and reporting environments.
  • Document accounting data flows, reconciliation processes, financial controls, and business rules supporting financial reporting.
  • Assess financial controls, reconciliation frameworks, and accounting governance processes.
  • Identify operational risks, documentation gaps, process inefficiencies, and control weaknesses.
  • Recommend improvements that enhance accounting accuracy, audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support Finance organizations in strengthening control frameworks and accounting governance.
  • Lead assessments involving products and accounting processes related to:
  • Consumer Lending
  • Commercial Lending
  • Corporate Banking
  • Mortgage Banking
  • Credit Products
  • Interest Accounting
  • Loan Accounting
  • Product Lifecycle Accounting
  • Accruals and Provisioning
  • Regulatory and Financial Reporting
  • Facilitate workshops with Finance, Accounting, Technology, Operations, and Data teams.
  • Develop process maps, SIPOC diagrams, data lineage documentation, and business architecture artifacts.
  • Perform root cause analysis and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Document business rules, accounting logic, and future-state process recommendations.
  • Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, diagnostic reports, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Facilitate decision-making workshops with CFOs, Controllers, CIOs, Finance Transformation leaders, and Technology executives.
  • Translate complex accounting and technology concepts into actionable business recommendations.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Master's degree (MBA, Finance, Information Systems, or Data Management) preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience leading Finance Transformation initiatives.
  • 8+ years of Banking or Financial Services industry experience.
  • English Fluent is a MUST
  • 5+ years managing complex consulting engagements within large financial institutions.
  • 5+ years leading cross-functional Finance and Technology teams.
  • Previous experience within global consulting firms such as Accenture, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, Capgemini, IBM Consulting, Cognizant, or similar organizations is highly preferred.
