About This Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented accounting/finance consultant. This role plays a critical part in delivering accurate, timely financial reporting and insights that inform key business decisions. You will work at the intersection of finance, data, and operations—partnering closely with FP&A, accounting, and business stakeholders to analyze cost drivers, investigate variances, and enhance reporting capabilities across a complex and evolving environment.
W2 hourly pay rate: $75-85/hr DOE
Duration: 6+ months
What You Will Work On
- Perform recurring reporting and flux analysis across operating expenses, technical infrastructure costs, lease expenses, payroll, commissions, and other non-revenue cost categories
- Support BD+4 reporting deliverables and close-related reporting activities
- Investigate reporting variances and reconcile underlying data issues
- Utilize SQL and reporting tools to troubleshoot data discrepancies and support ad hoc analysis
- Partner with FP&A and business stakeholders to understand cost drivers and validate explanations for variances
- Support reporting tied to cost allocations, Cost of Sales (COS), and infrastructure-related expenses
- Participate in recurring flux review meetings and help develop reporting insights and recommendations
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and reporting efficiencies
What You Will Bring
- Financial reporting, management reporting, controllership, or operational accounting experience
- Strong P&L flux analysis experience
- Familiarity with cost allocations, OPEX reporting, or infrastructure-related cost analysis
- Working knowledge of ASC 842 and ASC 606 concepts as they relate to financial reporting and cost analysis
- SQL proficiency for data investigation and ad hoc reporting
- Experience working with large datasets and complex reporting environments
- SAP experience is helpful but not required
- SEC reporting exposure is a plus but not required
