About This Role

One of our clients from insurance sector in São Paulo, Brazil, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Consultant for a short-term engagement (up to 3 months).
This is a critical role aimed at stabilizing and optimizing local operations, requiring a strong blend of strategic insight, operational execution, and financial acumen.

Role Overview
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with deep knowledge of the insurance/reinsurance market in Brazil, capable of operating effectively in high-uncertainty environments. This individual will bring a hands-on, results-driven approach, combining strategic thinking with practical execution.
Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and the ability to drive transformation initiatives are essential.

What You Will Work On

Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic assessment of the business and identify key risks and improvement opportunities
Stabilize and strengthen local operations and processes
Conduct process evaluation and reengineering initiatives to improve efficiency
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
Oversee operational management and execution
Manage key client relationships and strategic accounts
Provide leadership to teams, including change management in complex environments
Support financial analysis, P&L management, and business viability assessments

What You Will Bring

Profile Requirements

Proven experience in the insurance or reinsurance sector (mandatory)
Strong track record in Brazilian market operations
Experience leading business units or operational teams
Solid background in financial management, P&L ownership, and business analysis
Experience in transformation, turnaround, or transition environments

Strong capabilities in:
- Strategic planning and execution
- Operations management
- Process optimization and reengineering
- Risk identification and mitigation
- Stakeholder management and influencing skills


Hands-on, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset
Fluent in Portuguese (required); English proficiency preferred

Engagement Details

Hiring Model: Independent Contractor (Company owner or associate submitting invoices)
Location: São Paulo, Brazil
Duration: Up to 3 months
Work model: On-site / hybrid (depending on business needs)
