The Challenge
The Client had recently abandoned its vendor-developed Treasury Workstation due to connectivity issues and an inability to access balance information for key accounts. Management aimed to re-implement the Workstation to automate cash position reporting and enhance controls over payment templates and wire processing. The Client sought strategic support from RGP to develop a standardized methodology for connecting to each of its banks and replacing individual online portals through a treasury and payments technology modernization effort. RGP led the reimplementation of the Treasury Workstation, including establishing connectivity to the SWIFT network, and provided business analysis and project management support.

What We Did
RGP deployed a team led by the former Vice President of Global Treasury Operations at Goldman Sachs to conduct a post-mortem assessment of the abandoned workstation solution and document the functional requirements for its reimplementation. The team led contract negotiations and vendor onboarding to ensure the right resources were available for the project, incorporating lessons from the assessment. RGP also took on a project leadership role, coordinating between the vendor, Treasury, and Technology teams to resolve issues and track progress. Additionally, RGP led security and user acceptance testing to prepare the Client for go-live.
