01.

The Challenge

After being acquired by a major investment bank, the Client’s holdings surpassed the thresholds for compliance with Basel III NSFR requirements. The Client required expertise to identify mandated holdings across multiple asset classes, assess their stability and reportability, and communicate this data with the acquirer to ensure compliance. Additionally, the Client sought support in balancing an interim operating model with a strategic approach while aligning data definitions, repositories, and technologies, all while meeting a tight timeline.

What We Did

RGP deployed a team of experienced technology consultants and data analysts with regulatory expertise to lead the requirements definition, development, and deployment efforts to ensure compliance within the mandated timeframe. The team documented requirements, mapped data from database extracts, and defined business logic for generating output files. After drafting the requirements, they worked closely with QA staff to clarify, fix bugs, and implement business enhancements. RGP also led end-to-end testing, coordinating integration testing, standardizing conventions between the companies, and facilitating two weeks of parallel testing before deployment.

Our Impact

RGP facilitated compliance with NSFR requirements ahead of schedule, established a foundation for target state transition, and enhanced efficiency across corporate technology functions.
