RGP CEO Says Culture Key for Post-Pandemic Workplace in Vox/Recode Article

In a recent Vox article on trends for the post-pandemic workplace, RGP’s CEO Kate Duchene says that while today’s work-from-home arrangements have shown knowledge workers to be just as—or even more—productive than before COVID-19 hit, businesses should not focus on productivity alone.

“[Covid’s] been a good thing for productivity, a bad thing for culture,” she said. Instead, business needs to focus not just on output but on strengthening company culture and a sense of belonging. “You can’t make [productivity] your priority and ignore everything else.”

The article, 10 Ways Office Work Will Never Be the Same, also included commentary from other industry experts including Microsoft, Slack, Stanford University and Global Workplace Analytics on a range of issues such as AI and automation, new ways of measuring productivity, as well as who’s benefitting most from today’s flexible workplace.
