SVP, North America Revenue Button Text

As SVP Revenue, I have the privilege of driving client service and business development with our current clients and future prospects while ensuring we are delivering successfully on our commitments to all our constituents.

Background

Tell us a little bit about your career journey before joining RGP.

I began my career at Lockheed Martin in an early career Leadership Development Program, serving multiple lines of business and functional areas including HR, finance, and program/project management.  I held varying roles with increasing responsibility during my time there, spending most of my time in the Space Systems division before finding RGP.

Education

I have a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Santa Clara University, with a concentration in Finance.

Goals and Inspirations

What inspires you?

What inspires me professionally is our clients and employees; in short, the people.  We have the opportunity to connect with amazing people tackling cutting-edge challenges and opportunities, and we are fortunate enough to help our clients along their transformative journeys.  The diversification of work and the body of scope we get the opportunity to address is inspirational.  What inspires me personally is my family!

What is a goal you have your eyes set on?

A goal I have set my eye on is for RGP to become a household name in the client ecosystem we have today for all things evolution and transformation.  We have an amazing set of clients and partners we work with today, but we have just scraped the surface of how we execute transformative work across their entire ecosystem.

What does success look like in your current role?

Success in my role is when we deliver engagements and provide solutions to our clients, driving their growth, transformation, and success.  When we receive a call that a client shares we helped them execute an initiative on time, under budget, and/or they personally received accolades from their organization, we are successful.  In short, we win when our clients win.

A Day in the Life

What was your best day at work at RGP?

Christmas Eve, December 24th 2019, I received a call from a Fortune 100 client awarding us a large opportunity to partner with them on a major post-merger integration initiative as they recently closed on a material transaction.  We had been serving this client in a smaller capacity, and this catapulted our relationship and partnership to the next level for the longer term.

What accomplishment makes you most proud since joining RGP?

Leading the West region of RGP to its highest revenue peak while transforming the team for longer-term positioned success.  I am also proud of the employees we have developed and the teams we have formed across our client service organization.

Share your favorite client success story.

I received a call from a client who needed material support with a compliance initiative around revenue recognition, and they needed help fast.  Given our flexible and agile model, we were able to deploy a team of 7 consultants to immediately (within 2 days) help with all things contract review, technical accounting policy, and project management.  We helped this client out of a jam, and they received major accolades from their CFO.  This client called to give us her thanks post the engagement, and her gratitude meant everything to our team.

Human-First

At RGP, we bring a human-first approach. What does that mean to you?

Human-first approach means we serve each other the same as we serve our clients, with a “how can I help you” approach, instead of the inverse.  This means we take a servant leadership approach both in the execution of our work and how we treat one another within RGP.

How do the RGP values (Loyalty, Integrity, Focus, Enthusiasm, Accountability, and Talent) shape how you approach your role?

RGP’s values shape how I approach my job every day, in that they are the bedrock of leading with integrity, empathy, accountability, and fun! In any high-performing team, there needs to be fidelity coupled with engagement, excitement, motivation, and a passion for winning.  These values align with my personal style, as I lead from the front, by example, and work to serve my team and our clients in an accountable but engaging manner.

YOU beyond RGP

How do you spend your time outside of work?

I have 3 young children: Luke (6), Madison (4), and Jeffrey “JR” (1), so almost all of my time outside of work is dedicated to my wife Cassie and amazing children.  We spend lots of time at the baseball and soccer fields, at the school gym, and enjoying all things outside in the sunny California weather.

Name three words that describe you.

Passionate, empathetic, driven

Do you have any secret talents or skills people might not know about?

I played bass guitar in multiple bands in college, and I recently started learning the drums.

What charities or social causes are you passionate about?

Like many RGPers, I am passionate about many social causes.  However, I am most passionate about a non-profit, Sacred Heart Nativity School, that I have the honor to serve as a member of the board of directors.  SHNS’s mission is breaking the cycle of poverty through education, and I am a steadfast advocate that every child should have an amazing education, regardless of background and/or socio-economic status.
