A multinational automotive finance company

When a multinational automotive finance company was relocating its corporate headquarters, the general counsel called on us to determine the steps for a successful transition. Our cross-functional team assessed critical workflows across key departments to optimize continuity and workflow.

In preparing to move their corporate headquarters, our Client’s general counsel needed to maintain legal workflow continuity, ensure proper knowledge capture and transfer, plan for succession and manage significant organizational changes.

What We Did

Assessed the workflows of our Client’s Legal, Internal Audit and Compliance departments, using RGP’s Legal Operations Framework and standard project management methodology to:

  • Provide operational continuity.
  • Align the departments’ workflows with the company’s best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Examine resourcing strategies.
  • Model opportunities for organizational development to evolve to a desired future state.

  • Enabled our Client to capture the necessary institutional knowledge and document key processes.
  • Delivered a strategic plan and tactics required for legal resources to maintain continuity and provide legal services to the organization as they relocated.
  • Established criteria and human capital plans that enabled our Client to quickly onboard new associates and continue to provide a high level of legal services to the business after the relocation.
